We are the generation that stops and looks.

Because we know we deserve better. That’s why we’re here.

Not more than others. No privileges. No red carpet. Just the thing that was supposed to be free — a family that feels like safety. Somewhere to land when the outside world, already completely unhinged, gets to be too much. A support system. Not a battlefield.

The chance to figure out who you are, without someone else’s damage doing the narrating.

Instead we got the other package. Carry the generational trauma, heal it yourself, don’t take too long, don’t be too loud, smile at Christmas. Feel like the loneliest person in any room the whole time.

So we adapted. Some hungry for validation that never quite hits. Some allergic to needing anyone at all. Some became nomads, moving city to city, calling it freedom, wondering why it still feels lonely. Et cetera, et cetera.

We can’t give the time back. That one’s gone. And we’re so sorry about that.

But we can show up. Every birthday that deserved a party. Every holiday that shouldn’t be white-knuckled alone. Every 2am that needs a real person, not a podcast. We mean it.

Life didn’t deal us the family. So we’re building it ourselves, with intention, with care, for each other.

The people who end up here, who’ve been through all of that and still want more than a badge that says I survived it, they’re some of the most incredible humans alive.

You’re probably thinking: ok, cool, what’s in it for me.

Fair. We’d think the same thing.

Right now we’re telling our stories and finding each other. That oh my god me too that nobody gave us growing up. That’s already happening and it’s already beautiful.

And we’re fundraising first. Once we get there, we sit down together and figure out what to build. We already have a couple of ideas floating around — ways to work around shitty birthdays and holidays, match people together, et cetera. But we also want to hear from you. Then we vote. Then we build.

We’re showing up with goodwill, grit, and a strong trust in this community. We just need you to show up too. 😊
