The Difficult Kids publishes survivor-voiced writing and educational material about difficult families, emotional neglect, and related themes. Nothing here is medical advice, therapy, legal advice, or a substitute for care from a licensed professional.
Be accurate; be kind to yourself.
You agree not to misuse the site: no scraping that degrades performance, no attempts to break security or access others' private data, no harassment of contributors or staff, and no uploading malware or illegal material.
What you grant us
When you submit a story, you confirm you have the rights to the text and media you send, and that you understand publication (if accepted) may be anonymous or pseudonymous as you specify. You keep copyright in your work; you grant The Difficult Kids a non-exclusive licence to host, display, format, and archive the material for as long as the project exists.
Stories are offered as-is.
Readers may find material activating. Pace yourself. We do not warrant that every statement is complete or that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.
